Do You Have A Cookbook?

I am new to your website and just love it!!!! Food looks delicious and cant wait to try it. Do you have a cookbook with WW recipes in store? My mother would love it and does not have computer access. Thanks a lot. Happy Mother's Day!

Thank you for asking, I get this question a lot!! My dream is to have my very own cookbook someday. One with beautiful photos I would be proud to have in my own kitchen. This is still in the dream phase because I am really not sure how to go about it. This is something I've always wanted to do, but I want to do it right so I am doing my research. Do I need a literary agent to publish a cookbook? Do I self publish? I'm also not sure if I could legally print a cookbook with WW points, another thing I need to research. It may only be able to contain the nutritional info, like calories, fat and fiber. Lots of questions. If anyone has experience in this area, I would love to hear your suggestions.

Hi Gina, Im a lurker here and have tried some of your recipes with great success. Im not sure if you are aware of Tastebook.com, but it is an actual cookbook of your recipes that you make yourself, including pictures and then they will print and send it. Each cookbook can have 100 recipes for about $40. (You can add additional recipes to your book at an additional charge.) The great thing about it is that others can view/purchase your cookbook ...though you receive no profit from it.

Thank you, yes, I have heard of it. I've even seen some of my recipes on there too!

Gina, Living Cookbook is a great software program. You enter or capture your recipes, it figures nutritional data including ww points and you can export to Word. May be a great intermediate step for you. I'd be happy to answer any questions for you.

Wow, that's looks like a great program. Thanks for sharing Linda! Although it's not compatible with my Mac.

Gina, I hope this comes across right but I think you should pop over to thepioneerwoman.com and get her advice possibly! She has her own cookbook too. I would LOVE to get your recipes in a printed/bound version or a box of coated 4x6 index cards in a box! with sections and so I could take them out individually, and cook, put them back in the box....

What about a printable version of each recipe?

I'm glad you asked this, if you have an old version of Internet Explorer, chances are the recipes don't print. Simply upgrade your Internet Explorer (it's free) or use Firefox which is also free and in my opinion, a much better option!! You will have no problem printing out my recipes!!

Gina,
I'm new to your site and just love it. Do not let the technicalities of publishing and all the details stop you! You have already done much of the hard work. You have the recipes and fabulous photos....publish your cookbook and you will sell TONS! (I will be first in line.) I started a nonprofit 6 years ago that has grown to be a national model and I understand the fear~ do not let it hinder you. You are very talented.

Thanks for sharing your passions with all of us,

The Hungry Girl website has several cookbooks and she does Weight Watchers Points. I have seen her on their website also. Maybe you could get some advice from her.

Thanks Jennie, I think she is actually endorsed by Weight Watchers.

Hi Gina,
Could you publish by change the name of the points to "Skinny Taste points" or something like that and have a note inside the cookbook that Skinny Taste points are equal to the popular WeightWatchers points :]

I guess if the opportunity ever presented itself, I could post nutritional info so people can use their calculator.
